Civil Service Commission is conducting an examination twice a year in the month of April and October for Professional and Subprofessional. For those who want a career in the Government must take the exam or even just taking the exam to prove something to yourself. I took the Exam last October 13, 2013 and I passed the exam.
Civil Service Examination for professional was not an easy exam, the passing rate is 80%, only 11% of the total examinees passed in the Oct. 2013 exam, for me it was difficult but I enjoy the exam. I study and review 2 months before the exam, but if you are intelligent and confident enough to pass without studying then you don't have too, but in an average person like me, I recommend to study.
Enrolling in review Centers is not necessary you can pass the exam in doing self study.
Of course enrolling in Review Centers will help you a lot, but paying P8,000 to P10,000 for all sessions excluding transportation expenses and meals is a lot of money, specially for those who can't afford it. Don't be upset if your friends can enroll in Review Centers, and never also urge your parents to enroll you if they can't afford it, because it would be painful if you can't pass the exam. There are so many ways you can pass the examination, I'm sure God will help you and provide all you need.
Self Review Tips:
1. Download some CSC reviewers in the internet as Many as you can or you can give me your email and I send you the reviewer or buy it to the nearest bookstore.
2. Time Management- manage your time to review give at least 1-2 hours a day to study do it 2-3 months before the exam
3. Exercise daily - it will boost your thinking skills
4. Enjoy studying - if you find it difficult especially math
5. Stop Studying 2 days before the examination
One Day before the exam Tips:
1. Exercise
2. Relax - you have to relax your brain
3. Eat chocolate- it will also boost your thinking capability
4. Sleep Early - complete the 8 hours of sleep
About the Exam:
The exam is 170 Items. 20 items for your personal info. and the remaining 150 items comprise of Verbal, analytical, numerical and General info.

Examination Day Tips:

3. Be Positive
4. Enjoy the exam - enjoy answering the exam if it is difficult skip to another remember time is your enemy here. You have only 3 hours to answer the examination.

Hi, thank you for this post. I totally agree na di na kailangan mag-enroll sa review center. Napag-aralan na sa high school o elementary yung ittest kaya kailangan nalang I-REFRESH �� Anyway, I would like to acknowledge YOU for giving our fellow pinoys review materials for FREE, without a FEE.
